To do a hashtag in Obsidian is pretty similar to how it is on most social media apps, you just do “#” followed by whatever tag you want. Note that you can’t use spaces, as seen in my video where I have “CaelusStaff” hashtagged instead of “Caelus Staff.”

I personally like using hashtags when searching for something within my Obsidian world, but I really prefer using the web to find what I’m looking for. This is all up to how you want to personally organize your world.

Timelines

@zeyphyrisms

Replying to @Soimrandom to do timelines in obsidian you have to download a plugin! go to the gear at the bottom of the screen next to your project’s title and the question mark with the circle around it – on the settings menu click “community plugins” and click “browse” – from there just search “timelines” and find one that works for you! i like the one by darakah! although i haven’t tried all of them because there’s a few new ones now lol #obsidian #obsidiantutorial #writertools

♬ BRONYA SUCESS ANTHEM on all plats – ￴￴￴ ￴￴￴ ￴￴￴￴￴ ￴￴￴ ￴￴￴ ￴￴￴ ￴￴￴

To do timelines, you can use the default Obsidian features, but you can also download one of the “timelines” extensions.

How to do install the Timeline plugin:

  • Go to settings
  • Scroll to “options”
  • Click “Community Plug-ins”
  • Search “Timelines.”
  • Select/Preview your favorite timeline option. I use the plugin by “darakah.”

Plugins

Installing plugins on Obsidian is pretty simple! Go into settings (Bottom left):

Click “Community Plugins.”

Scroll through whatever plugin you want and preview it. Most of the plugins have really comprehensible tutorials showing how to use them.

Don’t forget to install it, this will also require your Obsidian be restarted, so make sure your vault to be saved!
